"What a lovely tea room with a large selection of loose leaf teas, that can also be bought in their tea shop. The tea ordered came with a timer so that you knew when it was properly stewed. The crumpets with honey were delicious. Everything was plastic free which was great to see, with honey in a dish with a metal spoon. Covid-19 measures are in place, this is one of the few establishments that actually check your temperature before seating you at a table. Fantastic traditional tea room well worth a visit if in Alnwick."

"Lovely owner, delicious vegan cake and milkshakes, in a beautiful little, dog-friendly (extremely dog-friendly) cafe. Oreo milkshake was the best for me!"

"My partner and I, plus our dog, went here for a late lunch after being recommended it by the pet shop in Alnwick. It’s safe to say that it really didn’t disappoint. We had to stop and take in the selection of sweet treats as...we walked past the counter, the majority of which are made in house by the wonderful owners. We had a coffee, chocolate orange hot chocolate, cherry and almond scone and a twirl rocky road all of which were insane. The scone in particular was incredible. The Strawberry Lounge is comforting, homely, welcoming, pet friendly and much more. You won’t be disappointed by popping in for visit. Just look out for the wooden bear on the kerbside and follow the alleyway to this wonderful cafe."

"We found this place whilst staying in Felton for the week. Was so good we visited three times throughout our stay. Family and dog friendly, the staff were attentive, helpful and so good with our 5 year old. Excellent venue with the play area outside. Homemade wholesome food, made our way through the menu with toasties, quiche, and the soup was so good. The cakes are unreal, traybakes tasty and the cream scone outstanding. Doggie and kids menu are both brilliant. Cannot fault this place. Finished our week off with breakfast before heading up the road, full English tasty and the pancakes fresh. The wait for the food is because its obviously made to order. Recommend booking a table at peak times. We'll be back, thank you."

"We often eat at other Running Fox cafes. I wanted to make a nostalgic trip to the RF at Felton. I went there years ago with my father, just after my mother had died. Knowing it was virtually impossible to get a seat if you just turn up I booked a table for breakfast. The food was good, the service was terrible. We were made to feel as though we were an imposition. The waitress all but threw our plates of food at us. I’ve heard of ‘bring your whole self to work’ but it doesn’t generally include bringing your bad temper with you. I genuinely wondered if she had spit in our food, her attitude was so unpleasant."
