"Went here on a whim as we were staying down the road. Not the easiest place to find in the dark but that's what sat-navs are for. Excellent food, staff were lovely and we enjoyed our dinner a lot. The staff were also nice enough to give us a free peacock pint glass as my daughter works at a peacock sanctuary. Will be back again when we're next in the area."

"My daughters took me here for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. There were 3 adults and two children, as soon as the lady serving saw the kids she was off. She made it very difficult about where to place the high chair and made my daughter feel very awkward. All other customers were offered a top up of coffee and tea but we had to ask, after repeatedly being ‘overlooked’. The food was amazing but we did not feel welcome and the service, most definitely was not friendly. Dogs are welcome but not children apparently."

"Gorgeous home made scones in a variety of flavours eg walnut honey, pear Stilton etc. Lentil soup was very tasty, thick warming. Lovely staff the cooks serve as well. A little difficult to find as down an alley it...gets very busy."
