"The Auberge du Chemin Faisant is one our favourite places to eat. My wife and drive from Ontario to Nova Scotia from time to time and we've been known to rearrange our vacation dates based on availability at the Auberge.The chef's 8 course tasting menus are a wonderful experience, with many varied things to try, and the presentation is always excellent. The progression usually goes: shellfish, fish, white meat, red meat, with a few additional courses, including 3 I like to call "pre-dessert", "dessert", and "dessert dessert" (do not be put off, the courses are perfectly sized to give a satisfying, but not gluttonous, experience). As a bonus, the chef plays a medley of showtunes and popular (older) music during the last dessert courses.We were worried about going this year, since my wife has recently developed some dietary restrictions, but we contacted the chef in advance, explaining the problem, and he made adjustments to her meal in order to accommodate the restrictions. She ended up with a _slightly_ less elaborate, but in no way less satisfying, meal.Oh, and if you're a wine person (I'm not), be prepared for a treat. Mrs. Chef is a sommelier, and tailors a flight (of 4!) half-glasses of wines to match the meal's courses, giving a little presentation (in French) on why each was chosen. She's even been known to pour 1.5 oz glasses when someone at the table is a lightweight!The food quality, the hospitality, and the price make a combination that I don't think I've ever seen matched anywhere else."

"I ordered Mike's mix entree and a medium seafood pizza. Both dishes were delish and the waitress was friendly and gave great service! I will definitely eat there again."

"With the general decline of Tim Hortons in recent years, I was pleased to find apple pieces in my apple fritter (like they used to be)! This location is very clean and the donuts look fresher than at other Tim's! A pleasant surprise for our pit stop, we will stop here again."

"The food was great. Home made burger (Votes together type of sloppy though) and poutine! We ordered a large to share and it was big enough to feed 4 people. The ice cream is super creamy and amazing. We have two drinks, two burgers and... a massive poutine for $20! Great place if you're on a budget. Clean, outdoor seats and friendly staff."

"Amarante is a very beautiful place to stop and digest a healthy snack easily and again on the street. There is a food area and a few tables to eat a delicious soup there, veggy paninis and wraps, fresh kolouful salads very good coffee, muffins and energy bars. Kombuchas are also available. All this at the lakeside, where there is a large park for the children. There is also a lot of parking."

"I loved a lot my experience at your dessert restaurant because this place is clean, your staff and your manager is nice and welcoming, your prices is affordable and i loved a most your excellent bailey's ice cream because it's sweet and delicious. I will recommend this to visit."

"It is very beautiful, very good, very welcoming service, but it would be even better if the meats were cooked in the syrup. I was a few times and it seems that it was only boiled in water. It's the only thing missing. Good continuation!"
