Great Pizza and great service! The owners seem to really care about their customers and they believe in Freedom. Every time I go to Yosemite I plan to support this place! View all feedback.
What Nick L doesn't like about Sugar Pine Pizza:
Go to Me n' Eds or Round Table Pizza instead both stand up pizza businesses. Sugar Pine has absolutely horrid pizza. And the environment inside is creepy and unsettling. No one seemed happy. Management was rude. Phone ringing off the hook with no one answering. I'm really shocked this place is in business. View all feedback.
I have never experienced any of the food related issues in reviews. We have found the food to be great. Granted, the place is a little funky but that's no problem. I have never observed any racial issues. My kids are both Chinese, so I pay attention to such things. Their hours do change, so it's good to call ahead. Very few businesses require masking in Oakhurst . I think it's a little weird, but there you go. I'd rate them 4.5 stars.

I didn 't expect to love this place but absolutely loved it. Extremely friendly staff and they have the cutest dog who hangs out around the building. Yes they are pro gun, pro Jesus folks and there are signs that say no masks required but they are real people and the pizza was great! We didn 't mind, we are fully vaccinated and appreciate the first amendment. Having signs up doesn 't take away from the quality of the food or the positive vibes of the staff. It 's cozy, clean and a little corky. A gem!
Please read in full. I would be remiss if I don't start w the positives. If the positive is enough for you, don't read further. I also added my suggestions for the pizzeria. When we entered the pizzeria I felt as though I walked into someone's house. The hospitality, warm greetings, and the love they gave to my dog was excellent. Great people. They had a small play area for the kids. The kids fully enjoyed it. They are pet friendly and gave my dog a ton of love. Maybe too much. They gave my dog pepperoni without asking us. She gets diarrhea from spiced meats. But it was out of love and happened once so I didn't say anything. The review and suggestions at the end. I do not care what religion you are as long as you keep it to yourself. The restaurant walls are filled w religious artifacts, quotes and a shrine of some sorts for a loved one. It was tasteless. They could use a festive. Also, if you don't believe in masks, you don't need to flaunt it. I need for the no mask sign. The atmosphere is not very pleasant. The seating is not comfortable. The music is not fitting. It wasn't a comfortable experience. Very much like visiting someone's house vs going to a restaurant. The food is really where the place disappoints. The pizza is sub par. I ordered the Margherita pizza. A plain cheese and a combo to go. The Margherita is a plain cheese w basil mixed in the sauce. Looked bad and tasted worse. The plain cheese for the kids. Kids didn't like it at all. They rated it the worst pizza they have eaten. Why? Let me explain. The crust. The crust was over cooked and under flavored. Could have used some salt. The sauce was ok. The cheese was over cooked and yellow. It seemed as though they may have reheated a pizza from lunch. It was 5pm when we ordered. We haven't tried the combo. It does look better than the other pizza. This one for sure was made fresh because we had to wait for it to come out of the oven. Looks better but I'm not going to try it. My suggestions to the pizzeria and the beautiful family. First, please change the decoration. Make it more of a pizzeria and a restaurant. You are near Yosemite, give it a cabin feel and elegantly add you're religious quotes if you must. Fix the pizza. Make better crust. The crust should have a ton of flavor. Should be soft with some chew to it. Not hard and crispy. Don't burn the cheese! For the Margherita pizza use mozzarella balls not shredded cheese. It pains me to have to explain that. Back off from the family feel. Let me feel like I have some privacy. Your kids or family around us on their phones wasn't comfortable. I hope you use this review to fix the place.
