"Very disappointed as I normally enjoy Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine. The lamb kebab I had was overcooked and burnt on the outside. The flavours were there but the preparation let it down. Overpriced as well at nearly £20 for a few pieces of lamb and some salad. Rice was extra which I felt should really be included at the price. Can’t recommend it unfortunately. Service: Dine in"

"Great service. Had a cheddar and tomato toasty. The cheese was nicely stretchy. The tea was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed the empires biscuit. The quince ice cream was super interesting. The steak pie was also lovely and flavor and flaky in pastry."

"I am a staff member here. I've worked in various hotels and with all honesty this is one of the loveliest places to stay in. We take pride in making sure guests are welcome and diligently make sure room are spotless. We are also now open at 2pm every day to the public for teas, coffees and snacks such as scones. We have a beautiful view overlooking Kerrera, Maiden Island and Dunollie Castle. You have the option of sitting on or sitting outside in the garden. We are located in a more quiet area of Oban so if you are looking for a more serene spot, here is the place to be. :"
