"The restaurant is cozy and the food is fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the experience of cooking the meat on the stone however I found the meat to be slightly under seasoned, but that is just my personal preference. The owner is exceptionally chatty so do not come if you want a quiet or romantic evening as he really likes to talk, which I enjoyed but I can understand why others may find it overbearing. While I enjoyed this place for the experience, I doubt I would ever want to return."

"The Best of The Best. There are many excellent fish restaurants in the harbour of Alvor but O Arco takes top spot. Ricardo has cooked on the BBQ for many years and always produces the perfectly cooked food a master! Marco runs a friendly and super efficient service ably supported by Bruno Livia. Never disappoints!"
