stopped by for lunch.pleasantly surprised.some bar b q places serve dried out meat but big sky was nice and moist and tender.i had the ribs and wife had the pulled pork.both were excellent.the venue is large with tons of parking and tables.lots of outdoor tables.if you want barbied meat south of Calgary this is your place. We met a group at Big Sky BBQ Pit on highway 2A. It was a nice drive although the nav system had a hard time finding it. The setting is quite rustic and basic with a red neck ambiance that was charming. Service is a bit odd. You order drinks from a waitress and pay her. Figuring I could kill two birds with one stone, I decided to have lunch while I was in Okotoks since I'm rarely in the area.
Solid bbq and great that the owner is super friendly and welcoming He gave great introduction to the menu and recommendations .
