Some of the worst wines I've tried but the owners are very friendly. Beautiful tasting room and garden. They source their grapes from Molalla if that helps explain why we used the dump bucket so much. 10 per tasting, so of course we each got one. . View all feedback.
I participated in a wine tasting and was truly impressed by the Pinot Gris, which I typically don’t gravitate towards, yet I ended up buying a bottle. The staff here are incredibly friendly and we brought our dog along, unsure if that would be allowed. Luckily, the owners love dogs and even provide water bowls at the inn for them. I highly recommend visiting the pond to see the exceptionally cool metal dragon. There are also striking statues and columns scattered throughout the grounds. This has certainly become one of the most stunning wineries in Oregon. The beautiful surroundings offer plenty of space, making it perfect for larger groups, with lovely covered tables that are shaded by a beautiful array of flowers and plants. I can’t wait to come back!
What a beautiful place! They served a fantastic brunch, and we could have spent the entire day there. It's a wonderful destination, and their dessert candle was simply spectacular.

My only wish is that my review doesn’t attract too much attention and make the place overly popular!
Villa Catalana plays hard to get because it's only open 3 hours out of the week but boy was it worth the chase! I was trying to find wineries with nice views and sceneries for my recent trip to Portland and found this place which I'm glad I did! It's just about 40 minutes south of Portland so it's not far away at all. By the time we got here at 1pm on a Saturday the make shift parking lot was already full of cars. It turns out there was a wedding going on at the time but the actual winery and tasting room was pretty busy as well. It costs 10 per person for a tasting of 7 wines which I think is a really good deal. We got our first glass and hung out in the area. There are places to walk around and just chill, from a bench to overlooking the entire area to a beach chair on a wooden floor on the lake. There's even a little dragon and a cave for you to take pictures and peek your head in. After we finished one tasting we would go back to a gentleman who would refill our glasses with the next wine on the list. My favorites were the 2018 Pinot Goir, the 2018 Grenache Rose, and the 2015 Red Blend. It was a really nice way to spend a relaxing and chill couple hours on a weekend, especially when the weather was great. If I lived in the area I could see myself coming here every so often. With 10 tastings it would totally be worth it!
Stopped into Villa Catalana today and I am so glad I did. Just a stones throw outside Portland located in Oregon City , you feel like you've hopped on a plane to Europe. The scenery is lovely and there are numerous seating options available throughout the property. I ended up sitting on the pond and enjoying a picnic with a bottle of wine after a tasting. The tastings go for 10 each with 7 pours. A glass goes for 10, and most bottles are somewhere in the 20 25 range. You can bring a picnic and enjoy the scenery with your wines! It was a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon, and I highly recommend checking it out!
