What User likes about Royal:
Overall pretty good stay, pretty good quality breakfast , friendly staff. Great location near Thurso Ferry and near all local amenities Room as described, a compact but comfortable single room, enough space to lounge around, and nice view over roof tops. Very clean. What Louise Manson doesn't like about Royal:
They do themselves a disservice by having the menu advertise fish served with 'chunky chips ' and 'mushy peas '. In reality it is a meagre portion of frozen steak cut chips and a dessertspoon of smashed up garden peas. I was expecting some nice, hand cut proper spud chips, and real mushy peas are are a world apart from smashed garden peas. I 've had better in Wetherspoon 's for £8 including a drink!
