Amazing place and lovely couple running the place! Massive selection of food and drinks! White chocolate whippy is to die for
Excellent ice cream sundaes and waffles. Very pleasant staff serving generously portioned and presented ice creams.

"I have had a blue badge for my disability for many years have always been treated gracefully. On arrival here today I was questioned as to whether I needed to park in the disabled space close to the building. We had intended staying for lunch but having lost my appetite we had drinks and left to enjoy lunch elsewhere."

"Our party had two rooms this April. One was 140 L, the other 150 L. They were so tiny one had to crawl over the bed to get in or out. There was no place to open a suitcase, no glass, no shelves in the bath, no reading light, no bed-side table. These rooms would have been minimal in a hostel at 25 L. Eat at the Murray Arms but don't even think of staying the night. Bruce MacPhail"

"Very upmarket feel, room was great food was great, service was great and the price was less than most on Orkney, I’ll definitely stay here again. Rooms: Finished to a very high standard, very clean, great shower. Only negative thing was a noisy extractor fan in shower room. Food drinks: A good selection on the menu, but also happy to make adjustments to suit your needs. I had a pan fried fish with potato and peas instead of a battered or breaded oneno problem, and done perfectly. Noteworthy details: Close to the Pentland Ferry. The Hotel is finished to a very high standard. The staff all seemed friendly and relaxed. Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great value"

"Stayed at the shore on a business trip. No services available at this location as the shore hotel appears to have been bought over as additional accommodation for the Kirkwall Hotel. There appeared to be no staff based in the shore Hotel with all the public areas reception/bar/ restaurant) locked up. This was not known prior to my arrival. Check in/out and meals served from Kirkwall Hotel, however evening meal reservations are required. Unfortunately no availability for a table during my stay to try their menu, which looked good. I stayed in a single room that felt dark and enclosed due to exterior fire escape stairs being directly outside window with no view. Room My colleague stayed in was however beautiful. Breakfast served in the Kirkwall Hotel a short walk away. Staff at Kirkwall Hotel were very professional and helpful."
