"We were looking forward to returning to Occelli’s Locanda del Mulino in Valcasotto for a Sunday lunch because we had a good meal there many years ago. We found that the food is still good but sadly the service was bad and unacceptable for a restaurant of this price point (3 courses and one bottle of wine came to 39 Euro per person). When we arrived there was only one other table with two people. Our appetizer course arrived in a timely manner but by then another four tables were filled and the only server was overwhelmed. When our pasta course arrived the server literally dropped the plates in front of us and ran away. She failed to bring any parmigiano cheese nor did she ask if we needed anything. For several minutes we tried to get her attention but she never looked our way. We decided to get up from the table and ask for some cheese to go along with our pasta. We were told ok but instead of bringing the cheese to our table she began taking orders from other tables. By the time she arrived with the cheese more than 10 minutes had passed and our food was as cold as ice. She attempted to drop the cheese on the table and run but I stopped her and told her that now the problem is that our food was cold. By the way, the cheese was in a filthy container covered in smudges and dirty fingerprints. Instead of apologizing and offering to bring us hot food, she looked at me as if I were crazy. She again attempted to run away but I told her to stop and take away the pasta because we were not going to eat cold food. She grabbed our plates and and stormed off only to return about 5 minutes later to ask if we wanted the pasta or not. From that point on the service got even worse. She dumped plates in front of us without saying a word and rudely scurried away. There is no excuse for service this bad in any restaurant let alone one at this price point. The dining room is pleasant but is in need of a good dusting and cleaning. It is a shame that the current management has let the restaurant deteriorate to this point. Unless we hear that the situation has improved, we wont be returning to Occelli’s Locanda del Mulino in Valcasotto."

"Very nice place and kindness of the owner and the waiter. they had us sit at the table outdoors and tell us before it would be occupied then to the people with great kindness because it would be sorry to have to send us away if we were longer, instead asking first we agreed because we didn't hold so much. aperitif with small appetizers."
