I really enjoyed my shawarma from this place. The beef was really good, and not fatty like in other places. The pita was perfectly crisp, and the customer service was very attentive. My second favourite shawarma in town now. View all feedback.

What Osman Abdi doesn't like about Princess Shawarma:
I showed up 9.50pm on Wednesday night and it is already closed. There was a young lady inside and she come out and told me she closes 10 minutes early and the funny part is.the posted hours on the door says 11pm and when you check online it says 10pm,neither are respected. Bad business practice. Will NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN..STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRINCESS SHAWARMA ON MERIVALE AND CLYDE SHE SAYS SHE DOESN'T GET PAID I... View all feedback.

Worst shawarma I ever had. Meat was rubbery the sauce was ?? slimy horrible after taste potatoes weren’t cooked properly too dense avoid

"Just finished and enjoyed The Summer Dress wrap and a Substute Teacher salad (half salad for $3,49). Both were quite delicious and very generous portions. You can taste the freshness with every bite. There is a fun school theme in both the decor and menu...but nothing juvenile about the quality and creativity of the food. I will be definitely work down the list over the next few months."

"Celebrated our 30th anniversary there with friends and family before a concert. Owners and staff were very receptive to our needs and worked well with us to enjoy our visit. The wine was great, the food was better. If down in the Market, we highly recommend!!"

"As someone who never had a falafel, admittedly I don't have much to compare how Chickpeas version compares to others.I will say though that I really like the falafel wraps that I've had here and everyone I've brought here for lunch has also liked what they had. Their hummus is also very good and they are the only place that seems to do it the way they do it (their hummus is very, very thick).Prices seem more than fair (about $7 for a falafel wrap which always seems to fill me up,) and you can make it a meal for a few dollars more and they'll add a side dish of hummus plus some pita bread for the hummus.Seating is a bit limited on the inside with maybe 6-8 tables so be warned that during lunch you may not find a place.Service isn't super fast but I think that is because everything is made to order.As they are located in Trainyards, parking is ample though during lunch you may not get a spot in the lot right out front.All in all, Chickpeas is now one of my top places to go for a lunch treat in the eastern part of town. Definitely recommended."
