"Bistro Ristoro is easily one of our favourite restaurants in Ottawa. It's a wonderful local business run by the best people we always have great conversations with Vlado and Lydia when we are there. The restaurant serves delicious, authentic Macedonian food. The last time we went there we had the piquant stuffed champignons, the pillows, the spicy sausage roll ups, and much more everything was AMAZING! One of my favourite dishes there has to be the Halloumi and roasted red pepper appetizer the Halloumi is the perfect consistency and tastes really great! Their pizzas and mains are also fantastic, and I highly recommend the Oliva pizza if you like olives and mushroom : One of our favourite things about this place is the passionate and energetic team that runs it you can tell that the owners and staff truly care about putting delicious food out for their customers! It's unfortunate that we had to move out of Ottawa and can't visit anymore, but this is going to be our go to place every time we travel to visit the city in the future!"

"Came from Toronto just to try this place out. They have absolutely nailed Turkish Cuisine. The atmosphere to swift service, it is truly impeccable.The food is 10/10, the rice and meat is so flavoured, juicy and tender. The turkish tea is a must try at this place as well.We got the 1 metre platter and it was more than enough for our family of 7 people."

"Edited- Love the extended section to the old diner. This has a very nice, chic and aesthetic vibe to it. I loved loved LOVED the milkshakes and it's portion the food was perfectly cooked and the quantity is a lot for a single person so please share your meal!! Zak's is the kind of place that you cannot get tired of. It is a little pricey but worth it as their portion is large. Friendly staff that keep checking on you and make you feel instantly comfortable. recommend!!"
