Picked up a some breakfast on my way to work and saw a line out the door! But they were so quick and efficient I was at the front of the line in under 5 mins! The guy who helped me was kind and patient and we exchanged pleasantries, which seems to be lacking nowadays. It honestly gave me that neighborhood feel and comfort and that was my first time there. Had a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Unfortunately the Bagel used to make the sandwich was not toasted or heated, the eggs tasted as if they came for a box and the cheese was the lowest grade possible. Oh, did I mention they charged me $2.50 for a slice of ham? Well, all was good as I didn’t have big expectations for a the sandwich, however the coffee is also terrible. Burnt burnt burnt! I have been going to the Palo Alto House of Bagels for over 40 years. This is their 5th location in that time. Same owner, same great bagels, same great service. Not all the HOBs are the same. This one is the original.
Great place for bagels. This is a local favorite good variety of and excellent bagels. Fast service. Coffee was pretty good too
Very fresh and tasty bagel sandwiches and fresh squeezed orange juice is my favorite breakfast here. The bagels turn super hard like rock if not consumed in 3/4 hours. If you want a dozen bagels for next one week, better buy a pack from a grocery store.
This fast early day bagel shop specializes in Bagels of many, many variations. HOUSE OF BAGELS- EXCELLENT BAGELS OF COURSE. COMPARABLE TO STARBUCKS, PEETS COFFEE, EXCEPT STAFF WAS NOT FRIENDLY. LIKE EVERY DAY WAS MONDAY TO THE STAFF MEMBER... COFFEE IS GOOD, AT TIMES BETTER THAN COMPETITION. MANY LOCATIONS, CATERING, BULK ORDERS, PARTY TRAYS, ETC.
