What User likes about Steam:
We had a pretty good dim-sum lunch here. The food was delicious. A bit expensive, but in reason to be in downtown Palo Alto. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area, but a word of caution: Road traffic can become loud! An at least one unruly motorcycle and a lot of car honking as well. The weather is beautiful, but your ears can experience auditory canal! Nevertheless, it was a pleasant afternoon meal. If you are i... View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Steam:
A classic hole in the wall-eating. We ordered the Szechuan prawn and chicken. Good lunch. They're pretty fast at their service. The sum wasn't so great. The rest of the orders was delicious, but a little greasy View all feedback.

read moreLocated in the heart of Palo Alto, Steam boasts a bright, modern ambience with both indoor and outdoor seating. While the restaurant offers a variety of Chinese cuisine, opinions on the food quality vary significantly. Some diners praise flavorful dishes like beef basil and Shanghai pork dumplings, while others find the offerings underwhelming, with complaints about blandness and high prices. The service, though generally efficient, sometimes falls short. Overall, Steam presents a mixed bag of dining experiences—ideal for those seeking casual dining but perhaps disappointing for discerning food lovers.
