"Monday in the Charente is depressing. Many restaurants just give up the ghost and close and we have been found roaming around the area on many occasions trying to find something other than a Pizzeria open. Well, we have ticked a load of boxes with this delightful place. It is a small museum based upon old school artefacts and IS open on a Monday evening during July and August offering well priced and delightful local food. Be there on time (last orders are 1.30pm at lunchtime), but it is well worth the effort and without knowing it is there, would be missed by most visitors. Out of season it is open every lunchtime except Wednesday but only open Friday and Saturday evening. Historically serving the local utilities workforces, it seems to be popular with those in the know. If you holiday in this area, make a note - you wont be disappointed."

"Many years now that we have come to fabrice morel and Co. Always a refreshing menu , different combinations from lam to fish , carpaccio to duck liver , cheese cake or strawberries. Everytime plates look colorful and tasty and you see the creativity at work. The interior is warm and spacious . The pool side terrasse refreshing and surrounded by palm trees. Staff is young and willing , always with Mdme Morel at reach. Hope to enjoy many more years."
