"The food and service were OK but not excellent. BUT I wanted Lasagna and I didn't want to sit in the sports bar. Rather than up-plating a piece of lasagna and charging more they declined. Apparently eating lasagna in the otherwise empty dining room spoils the ambiance. Not being served lasagna in the dining room spoils my chance of ever returning. Their rules are more important than customer service. Really good customer service means bending over backwards to give the customer what they want."

"To be honest, this place is really worthy of only a single star but considering this is in the middle of nowhere and options are limited, I will throw in another star. Also, the extra star is for the brutal honesty that our server was able to serve up. That was probably the most memorable part of the meal. When we had fired off a few questions to her she paused then smiled back and said she actually doesn 't work here. LOL I actually have just eaten here a few times and I am covering for my friend, I have absolutely no answers for you but I can ask the other servers . Brutal but I can appreciate the honesty. The food is your standard fare of some typical roadside restaurant in the middle of cottage country; burgers, fries, fish and chips, caesar salad..etc. Everything tasted as one would expect; a little homey, a little amateur and a good dose of disappointment when you somehow convinced yourself to believe this may just be that 3 Michelin star burger you 've been searching for your entire life until of course it 's not even close. So go ahead, your hungry if you 've managed to make it this far into cottage country without eating. You don 't have many choices around here and it 's just all carbs and calories that you need."

"Although we don't usually go for fast food, my husband and I stopped here for lunch on a rainy day...and to give us a change from Tim Horton's visited during some of our previous trips to Canada. Our burgers were terrific, especially when we discovered we could choose from many toppings. And we shared that Canadian favorite: an order of poutine. Well done, Harvey's! We'll remember you for future trips to the north."

"Interesting place. Came with my daughters for breakfast/lunch. Ended up with the lunch options. Ordered bruschetta for us all. The bread was cut interestingly with half the bread traditionally open and the other still seasoned. Only head scratcher was scallion as opposed to basil on the tomato. Should have had both. One thing I will definitely say, this restaurant makes world class fries. Hot damn. They are fantastic. Youngest daughter ordered chicken fingers. They were a notch above Pinty's oven fingers, but nothing special. Eldest ordered spaghetti which basically the sauce was a mishmash of canned tomato salt and sugar. It was bland at best. Perhaps for the kids but nothing to be proud of. I myself ordered the haddock. Certainly had a touch of the fish taste, but not jarring and the batter was better than I expected. Overall that was a winner. I would have ordered halibut in an instant but I was pleasantly surprised and the presentation was great, although the half cob of corn could have easily been replaced by a few more fries or a coleslaw."

"GF Poutine (Fries Gravy)!!!! They don't coat the frits in anything! Good old fashion friars as they should be. GF Debrezenger Wurst also! I can't talk about cross-contamination? Something to ask. Side note they have wildly caught Schellfries, but not sure if it is GF."
