Established since 1979, this heritage brand serves the most pricey rendition around, being among the forerunners to transit from humble eatery to full fledged zi char restaurant. . Their poached chicken is the star, to the extent that roast chicken is only available by advance order. The chicken meat is certainly satisfying with a tender bouncy chew, and fresh sweet savoury flavour. . The rice is decadently fluffy and buttery, with a glossy sheen from the chicken fat, having bold savoury sweet grainy oily flavour. . "Been here multiple times, food is great. Love the shrimp in the laksa although it 's quite spicy. Bento boxes are always a good choice as you can choose what you want. Brown and white rice available."

"Came here lucky there was no line. I was curious why so many people come here. We tried to ask for no ghee in the masala Dosa. They said potatoes already have ghee added. We asked for masala tea they gave us black tea because they only have cow's milk for tea. In this day and age buy some plant milk for vegans if you want to charge such high prices. Must you put ghee in everything? Updated from previous review on 2023-01-15"
