Good surprises at Da Giulio in Pavia downtown. Waiter recomended the seafood soup and it was really superb! Good bruschettas as starts and the homemade pasta with porcini was also special. It was a grim, rainy day in Pavia and many restaurants were closed post-Easter. I stumbled on Da Giulio and it looked full which is usually a good sign. They were very slow to take my order. They didn’t tell me there was a menu’ del giorno, which I learned later from my neighbours.
