Traditional pub in a lovely location in Porthgain. Friendly and efficient staff. Outdoor seating for a relaxed meal at any time of day (they are open for morning coffees, maybe even breakfast but I'm not sure). We ate indoors. Good menu and daily specials. I hate to give a negative review and hope that my experience was due to covid. a vegan dish (chickpea and squash curry) was terrible. no vegan starter or pudding. I ate with no vegan and they were also disappointed (all was deep fried or microshaft). Finally, the price point was far too high for the quality of food and lack of imagination in the menu. the sloop should not be seen as vegan friendly. read more.
