This used to be one of our favourite restaurants whenever we visited Matarraña. Charming historical convent converted into a hotel and restaurant. Previous management ran the place with personal touch and nice classy deco. Menu was simple but very well executed. Our visit tonight came as a shock. All the classy atmosphere and charm are gone. "It's hard to describe how special this place is. It is carved into a mountain with tremendous history of an apparition of the Virgin Mother who appeared centuries ago to a shepherd boy. The adjacent hotel and restaraunt are first class and very modern!! The couple who run this place showed us fabulous hospitality and were delightful. Don't miss visiting the ancient church built into the rock too!! It is currently being restored via unsolicited donations."
