"Went for lunch on a rainy day. Cafe being full shows how popular it is for good reason. Best fish and chips I’ve had in years, crispy perfect fish, house made tartare and wonderful salad to go with it. Hubby had their version of...eggs bene also delicious. Brilliant value for money and great service. Left with a giant local cauliflower and a new cookbook new favourite spot!"

"Great location, friendly staff. Good spot for a few fish and chips. Right on the beach. Not super kid friendly. They have a great in-house coriander tartare sauce. Haven't been in ages but dropped by recently and it was still delicious and consistent. Nice to see a specials board (that was delicious too)"

"As a survivor of an early career in coffee in Melbourne I found the entire experience in this place bloody awesome. Beyond the obvious cool cafe stuff like culty textile studio decor and whiskey hinting at evenings it’s the small things that had a huge impact on our experience. It’s clean even under the machine, and organized to facilitate productive work. NEVER CHANGE THAT MACHINE. Custom Synessos of that magnitude are like a burning hearth at the core of your spot (which the Chapel has by the way) By all means auto your milk, grind, and tamp but please keep that beauty. We both opted for the Eggs Benny. Big healthy portions of hash, roasted onion and tomato with some spinach on the side accompanied a delicious Benny on Rye Sourdough. A tactic usually played by cafes to boost sales is adding in sides taking a $17 dish up to $30 with ease. We were both so pleased to see healthy good quality roasted and grilled veg accompanying a classic Benny and to be truly stuffed to the gills by it all without hemorrhaging cash. At the end of the day it’s breakfast so let’s try to leave with full bellies and wallets. I know this place cranks with takeaways at times and lines out the door are common. This is great. Don’t fight that as a customer. It pays the bills. Pick your time here and you’ll be super happy to sit in and be treated to what I would say is the best over all cafe experience in Lutruwita Tassie for food, coffee, and atmosphere."

"Had a great night with amazing flavours in all our curries with the vindaloo goat curry being the standout.
