"As a trained chef myself, eating in any restaurant is a bit of a challenge as I'm constantly looking for faults and missed bits. The Shore does not disappoint! Every single course was presented well and carefully explained by the team. The cook on every dish was perfect and even though my girlfriend is a pescetarian we were graciously catered for by the team and one of the courses was adapted for her dietary requirements. I could not fault the flavours delivered to us. All local, seasonal produce from organic farms too. There was just the right amount of food served, our set menu was 4 courses, we couldn't have fit another mouthful! The dishes were attractive and didn't have the super pretentious aesthetics that usually come with this level of cooking. Every element was well thought out and added to the dish. We opted out of the paired wine flight but chose two from that list and they were super tasty! Bruce, the owner/chef both greeted us on arrival and chatted to us at the end of our meal and made us feel right at home. He even courteously listened to some additions I cheekily suggested to a couple of the dishes ; our waitress was lovely and super warm and welcoming. The perfect end to our stay in West Cornwall, definitely be back the next time we're this way"

"We visited late on a Sunday and they kindly served us to eat, although we are coming in the past! we had two different chicken burgers that were delicious and the portions were also great. cocktails were beautiful, had a great choice and tasted fab! friendly and friendly staff, would recommend to everyone."

"Warm welcoming atmosphere thats dog friendly too, staff are very polite and helpful catering to your every needs. Great selection of ales, wines, ciders, soft drinks ect. Highly recommended this place to everyone. The only down side is the parking is very limited on site but their is a pay and display car park down the road so not to bad. I give this place 5"

"We spent a very wet and windy week in Cornwall. Found this coffee bar and wow it is was like a haven! They happily allowed our dog to come in and we had an excellent lunch, coffee and cakes. Everything was fresh and the service was brilliant. I have recommended it to friends who are holidaying in Cornwall soon. Thank you."

"We were in St Ives for five nights and we visited this restaurant twice. Had it been open additional nights we would have returned for another meal. Two menu items of particular note are the goat cheese and beetroot appetizer which was a perfect start to our meal. For the main course we both had the parmesan crusted hake. It was so spectacular that we had this main course both times we were at the restaurant. Service was wonderful and extremely friendly. I’d give the restaurant top marks for both service and food quality. The chef is a professional. Our only complaint is that the restaurant is only open from Wednesday to Sunday. That’s not enough time to allow people to enjoy this place."

"I went to the Copperfield outlet of Hampsons and had freshly baked pasties served by a wonderfully friendly young lady. Service was great, pasties delicious and packed with ingredients. I shall return!!"

"This teeny tiny little deli offers one of the fastest, tastiest and well put together breakfasts in the town (maybe even all of Cornwall). Fast, friendly service and a hearty portion of locally sourced and well cooked food left us satisfied and ready to come again the next day. Definitely need to book ahead of time if you want a table but it's well deserving of its high ranking. Highly recommended."
