there is a relaxed atmosphere and a good choice of frying for Sunday dinner. they make a fixed, reasonable price for two or three courses. they also have a good adnams-ale on the train. it is not a skin kitchen (I guess the gravur is made with a stock cube) but the meat (we had roast lamb and the roast beef) was cooked nicely, like the sweet. the cheese plate (instead of dessert) was particularly good. the hoops inn lies next to the henry moore foundation, so ideal to combine the two. in fact there were mid-week agreements to do exactly that between the two events. the staff in both are very friendly. we had the two course lunch for £19.
