"In for lunch, we had a mix of pies, baked potatoes and a ploughmans platter. Everything was nice and was fresh. The kids menu is lacking though, very few options and we were told we couldn't have a wee side salad of tomatoes and cucumber with the kids sandwich. Great selection of cakes for dessert. Staff very business-like, not overly friendly."

"Normally don’t do reviews but our first (and last) visit was horrendous. Our son came over from USA to help out after I’d been in hospital for major surgery. We booked a table for 3 the evening before our son’s flight home (01/08/2023) After ordering drinks we ordered our starters and main course. At no point did anyone come to our table after bringing drinks to say anything about the delay. A table which came in half an hour after us was already sitting with food and we were over an hour and hadn’t even got our starters! Normally we are very patient (if you want fast food go to McDonald’s) but this was ridiculous. Thread bare carpets and black peeling wallpaper in ladies are just some of the signs that restaurant needs a total refurbishment. I approached waitress at bar and requested bill for drinks saying we were leaving. Never has anyone apologised so much saying her fault not chefs and she was even prepared to pay for starters herself. By now we’d had enough and really didn’t want to hear who’s fault it was so paid for drinks and went to Delivino on King Street where for the second time we received amazing service for drinks, starters, mains and desserts. KB’s is a place we would never set foot in again. Service: 1"

"Had a couple of lovely dinners here, food is modern pub grub and the woodfired pizzas are amazing. Beautiful setting in the lovely village, nice sized beer garden and quirky traditional decor inside. Recommend highly!"
