"Follow up review: despite a disappointing experience in the restaurant as noted below, Mike (owner) had sent us a follow up message to apologise and offered for damage control. To which, we really appreciate.<br>

My expectation for good restaurant would entails good food, lovely atmosphere, and thoughtful service. This Farmhouse is a very small restaurant, with only one long table available for everyone to share. Not much privacy. Jazz and candle helped with the atmosphere. <br>

At booking, I was told there will be candle prepared for birthday man. Not only they completely forgot, but when I mentioned to them in the end, no signs of genuine sorry was seen, it was a "oh I am sorry, it is $144 please". Terrible service. <br>

Entry was really lovely, main course was large, tasted ok, lots of fish bone, small but still quite unpleasant, and dessert was creative, can't say it was good.<br>
<br>
Overall, will never come back here for another celebration or anything."

"The milk bun with bacon and egg was incredible. The bun was so light it was really just a vector for ingesting yummy bacon and egg and the mayo had a nice heat and just added to the whole experience. Coffee was delicious. I love the way they used the wall opposite in the alleyway for street art and then repeated the motif on the pillar inside the bar area."

"Fich at Petersham, which opened doors in 2018, is a creation of two former Bennelong chefs, Chef Jose Silva (who also owns Sweet Belem, and Bibo) and Chef Manny Paraiso. That fact alone made it worth a try and we were not disappointed. The sustainably sourced Seafood is supplied by Southern Fresh Seafood. We particularly enjoyed the Popcorn Fich. The Wine List was diverse. The location is easily accessible only meters from the train station and with parking available just across the street at the Post Office. <br/"
