I had preachers on my list for years. I've never been available to go Thur-Sat today! This is a real tennessee BBQ vibe. I was glad to see that they accepted credit cards, although I only had cash in case. We just ordered about every meat and it was all fantastic. What User doesn't like about Preacher's Smokehouse:
For being Dolly Jimmy Fallon recommended. It was very underwhelming. Burnt ends were very chewing and not very burnt. Chicken was bland. Sweet tea for being in the south was not very sweet. Plus, they served food on paper plates and plastic forks.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.
I had preachers on my list for years. I've never been available to go Thur-Sat today! This is a real tennessee BBQ vibe. I was glad to see that they accepted credit cards, although I only had cash in case. We just ordered about every meat and it was all fantastic. A cry from the creamy Mac and cheese and the banana pudding as well. The group took the sausage and ribs as their favorite, but I couldn't decide how I loved the brisket, pulled pig and chicken. Definitely worth the trip and I will be back! They have both indoor and outdoor seats and the hospitality was top notch.
We wanted to try this place since our last trip to Pigeon Forge, when we drove past our last day on their shield and we had no time to board. My goodness was worth waiting. We had the sampler and when I tried the brisket, I let the name of the Lord be in vain, it was so good. Burnt-ends were so delicate and the ribs were dropped delicious from the bone. Brisket Chili and Brunswick stew were amazing. We definitely recommend the skillful bungalow! Everyone was so warm and friendly, they really took care of us.
Fantastic real quality BBQ. We loved everything we had. The ribs fell directly from the bone. The Burnt Ends were broken on the outside, sweet and melted in the mouth. We haven't seen Brunswick Stew yet, but the combination of meat and beans was great. We also had the Banana Pudding and Skillet Bun for Dessert. The banana pudding was very spicy what I loved. The Bun Skillet tasted like any honey ****, warm and sweet and fresh from the stove. All employees were friendly, and really offers service with a smile. There is a small dining room right next to the order window, but there are only 4 tables, and there are about 20 persons max.
Update from February.... The BEST Food Sevierville has yet to offer! We came this time with the children and they told ALL that this is by far the best place we ate here! Thank you for always amazing and the best hospitality in the area! From the Mills family! This is by far the best food around! Stay away from the grid and make sure to have a trip here and eat!!! We have the chance to meet the preacher and learn some stories from the area and get a picture with him. We'll be back tomorrow without a doubt! Great food and hospitality!
For lunch today we decided to go to a small family owned restaurant off the beaten path called Preachers Smokehouse. Omg this BBQ was one of the best BBQ places I have ever been to. It's owned by a preacher who started cooking to feed the homeless but needed a kitchen to do it. Now the restaurant helps supports that mission by cooking delicious BBQ to its visitors. It had 4 tables on the inside part and I think 3 picnic tables outside. It's only open from Thursday to Saturday from 11 to 7. Out of all the restaurants we visited this week so far this was my favorite you seriously need to visit here when visiting the smoky mountains. Staff is super super friendly and will even sit and talk to you and they have free coffee available. Definitely come visit here and follow Lititz Dad for more adventures.
