"Met a friend for dinner and was shocked at how dirty it was by the self serve station. The little garbage can was overflowing and smelly and the carpet was very dirty as well. We stopped and got some pastries to take home and was shocked that the girlput down her phone and put them in a bag with her unwashed bare hands. I reached out with pictures on Facebook Messenger just tomake them aware and was told to submit my concerns on the La Madeleine cares website. I did and was told that someone wouldcontact me. I waited a couple weeks and nobody ever reached out either."

"Best food I’ve had in a long time but that’s not why I’m writing this review.I was on my way home and I stopped by the restaurant, I walked in and the owner greeted me with a big smile on his face and politely told me they were close (I know…I should’ve checked google first)I asked him if he could point me to a good restaurant and instead of recommending another place he told me that his chef already left but he would cook something for me, he ended up making some delicious roasted pork with rice, beans and sweet plantains (y’all should try it ;)We need more people like this business owner, not only he had a great customer service but he also showed empathy and helped out a very hungry boy, I am definitely going back and I will also take my friends and family.I 100% recommended this place.The Latin Pig is my new favorite restaurant."

"Food was great. We had quite a few servers, who were polite, but they got confused about who ordered what. It's a bit distracting that they come with dinners and ask us to tell them what we ordered. I asked for soup to be brought before the meal, and as often happens, they forgot the soup brought the main meal anyway. I told our server to nix the soup, since the food had already come. However I was pleasantly surprised that she brought the cup of soup anyway and said it was free, since they forgot to bring it before the entree. (I always try tortilla soup at any Mexican restaurant I go to for the first time and find the soup is a good gauge of the quality of the rest of the cuisine Margaritas were GREAT and food was excellent. I loved the ambience at Mexican Sugar and it was quiet when we got there at pm. When we left at it was quite loud and the waiting area was packed. Also we were celebrating my son's birthday and server brought a churro dessert that everyone loved! Very different from the cake, flan or ice cream served by other restaurants. I will go again during the week with my husband for a quieter experience. BTW my husband ordered the pork chop and said it was better than the pork at Perry's Steakhouse Grille, where we went for a retirement dinner. He loves pork chops and rarely finds that they are done to his liking. Cudos to your chef!"
