What User likes about Wayback Burgers:
For the first time here. Great experience. Clean, well decorated, super, friendly staff, slightly high prices, but not for quality. Fresh food, not processed garbage. We had their signature Burger and Frey Combos and we were very happy. Definitely back. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Wayback Burgers:
The burgers were not a taste. The chicken sandwich was so over boiled it was burned!! Download $9 for a sandwich then burn it and serve it?!? Never a fried chicken sandwich. The fries were understated. The first time here try and not come back. Had really high expectations, but totally disappointed. So came to Wayback, as asked below, and they have never reacted my review seriously, so now a 1 star!! View all feedback.

"It’s worth mentioning we only had coffee and dessert here. I was pleasantly surprised that a place like this even exist in Lakeland let alone Polk county. Even though lakeland is trending more towards a foodie scene we still have a ways to go. That being said international dining is still pretty underrepresented here. So when I heard there was a “middle eastern” style restaurant/bakery in town I was intrigued. Before I get into any negatives I will say the coffee was amazing. The desserts were delicious as well but at 3 pm almost their entire selection was gone. I’m not sure if this means the sales are good or if they just have a limited quantity on hand most days. There is a market attached with some interesting food options as well but it’s more of an afterthought with no employees in sight of that area. Now I will say the furniture was nice and gave an authentic vibe. However the interior of the building needs a refresh. It feels like you are in a converted office space. I’m Assuming that’s what it was before they took over. The floors feel like a cheap cafeteria and there is really no atmosphere to speak of. To me this is probably the biggest thing holding this establishment back. Lack of identity. It desperately needs a vibe. I’m sure there are regulars who love the place and for good reason. But in my mind it’s going to be difficult to attract new customers when the first impression when walking in is confusing and sub par at best. I want to see places like this thrive in Lakeland and they definitely have the food to pull it off. But unless they put some effort into really creating a space newcomers are intrigued by I doubt they will experience any significant growth."

"A really decent concept. These Gourmet Mini Donuts are made to order and boy makes this a difference. They were nothing but AMAZING. You have a large and varied range of flavors you can choose or you can make your own creation. We have the 25 number and got about 6 different flavors to try and they were all delicious. The only reason not to give them 5 stars were the espresso drinks we got, the milk was too long steamed and to HOT! Also the price of the Donuts was somewhat steep. We met the brand new owner and she was very sweet and enthusiastic about the potential for this shop. You have to go in and get to know her. We love to find good mom pop shops, and this is a real jewel and we are happy to go back."

"Always a calming atmosphere, but upstairs I used to attend acoustic concerts hosted here! That experience was fun too! I do not come here more than once a month, but when I do it has good service, unique decor, beverages, food, snacks, searing options, andbathrooms. There are lots of nearby parking spots too!"

"On our way back to Polk County from a 2 hour trip, we stumbled upon Smokin' Aces. Loved the atmosphere. Cute little restaurant, friendly staff, and the music takes you back. The owner came out and spoke to each table individually. Genuine, down to earth gentlemen. We will definitely return. The food was out of this world. We've had a lot of bar b que and this place tops them all. Rib plate and brisket plate is what we had and let me tell you, The Best!! Also had some Fried Green Tomatoes. Took us back to the good ol days..... Can't wait till our next visit. Don't pass it up!!"
