Only the first day opening at the PLOCKTON site, very welcoming on a rainy day to some wayfaring strangers good coffee and hospitable interesting company. 'Til next time! View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Gun Ainm:
Nice little coffee shop but would definitely not recommend the take away packed lunches. We were charged £64 for 8 sandwiches and 8 tray bakes and that was with a discount. Would have been £72 normally. Sandwiches were extremely poor ordinary sliced bread with one piece of ham with a few pieces of old shredded lettuce and cucumber you could hardly see. No tomato. "We called to book at this restaurant and the staff let us know they were booked for the evening. We were tired and hungry from a long day of travel and touring, and I asked them for walk in recommendations, which they kindly provided. While I was looking into those options, the staff at Red Skye called back and had a cancellation. We hurried over and were warmly greeted by the two kindest servers we've ever encountered. We enjoyed appetizers of scallops and cullen skink soup, then main courses of Langoustines and Mushroom Risotto. My husband and I shared all of the dishes, and topped the meal off with a rhubarb/berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. The servers also provided friendly conversation and assisted us in the best route to our next stop. By far, one of the best meals and definitely the kindest, most fun staff of any restaurants we dined in. Highly recommend, but book ahead!"

"This is my favourite place to come when I am up in Wester Ross. The owners are so lovely and very friendly. The gallery is amazing, I could spend all day in there looking at beautiful Scottish art. The food is also excellent and what an outlook!"
