"After an online search I found this café to relax during my one-day visit to Maidstone. What a joy! The setting is original, the boat is beautiful and the food (frangipane) and cold drink were excellent. On a very hot day, most of the tables in the shade were taken, but there was still room. The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful."

"Been a few times and never disappoints. I order the chicken tikka masala with a little extra spice to it which is always a winner, wife loves the curry selection available and tries a new one each visit. Recommend!"

"If it were a rating marked out of 10, I would suggest a 5. It was not bad per se but it was also not good. The menu chalks up a great sounded delicious meal, but it was a mediocre one at best. My roast potatoes were hard and lumpy, green beans were also hard, a little more than a nice crunch, and my sirloin steak seemed to have been cut on the thinnest setting. I personally wouldn't eat there again, but wouldn't flat-out discourage others. I did only try one meal, maybe the others were better. There was a fairly decent atmosphere and on a plus side, the bar area looked nice and cosy to sit and have a few on a rainy day. Nice and friendly staff."

"It is a couple of years since we visited this pretty pub.We met up here with friends today for a long overdue catchup. A beautiful hot sunny day and we sat in the pretty gardens in the welcome shade of the many trees. The service was polite and slick, our food an absolute delight. The food was hot and beautifully presented and delicious . We shall return again soon."
