"Great value for money In connection with our holiday stay at the Hotel Sovestro near San Gimignano, we used restaurant Da Pode, which is part hotel and a restaurant. It was a fantastic experience. We ended up eating there several times. We tried several different dishes. They were all super prepared and tasty. In addition to this, the staff were top notch. Really good service, listened to our wishes, etc. There is also the possibility to drink the place 's own wines with the food It was really a good experience. Beautiful wines (and Grappa), there were both traditional and new wines on the menu. Perfect for the food. The restaurant is in the Michelin guide as a Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking. It serves delicious Tuscan cuisine. Thank you for some wonderful evenings in the Tuscan sunset, with wonderful food, service and wine."

"Tenuta Toriano was a big treat on our girls trip to Italy. The family owned winery is beautiful and the staff is kind, funny and very accommodating to Americans. We had a fantastic lunch in the cute wine cellar they were generous with the wine and the food was amazing. We absolutely loved the lasagne and the charcuterie appetizer was also very generous and delicious. Lilo was a great host and he explained the wines and gave us background info on the winery, but also left us alone to simply enjoy our experience. They also arranged a trip for us to San Gimignano after lunch. Another Torciano cousin, Enrico picked us up at train station and drove us everywhere we had to go that day he was so sweet and we talked and laughed with him all day. Everyone there was just so great. They will do all sorts of custom experiences for you just ask for what you want. We had the best day ever there."

"We will never not visit this place when we are in Tuscany. No matter where we are. The family is among the best you will ever meet. They treat us like family when we are here. The food. Forget about it. Speaks for itself. The truffles and eggs. The lemon chicken. The pici with truffles. And. The star of the show. The zucchini. Not sure what they do or how they do it but I find myself craving it when we are back home and I can’t replicate it. For a simple dish it’s simply amazing! The views. The food. The family. I highly highly recommend."
