What Frank B likes about Oishii:
Best restaurant in Pokolbin for quality and value for money. We are very regular visitors and they always leave us astounded especially with their tepan yaki beef and miso soup. Thankyou to the fantastic staff for all the wonderful memories. View all feedback. What Roselyn Grant doesn't like about Oishii:
Visited recently for dinner. While the dumplings were lovely, the curry puffs were really bland. We ordered the cashew chicken and sizzling seafood for a main. The cashew chicken wasn't thai or Chinese or Japanese- very strange flavours. The seafood had a better Thai flavour, but where were the veggies??? read moreOishii in the Hunter Valley offers a unique combination of Thai and Japanese cuisine, setting it apart from other dining options in the area. While some visitors found the atmosphere lacking, the authentic and delicious meals more than made up for it. Dishes like Gyoza, Massaman Curry, and Tepan Yaki Beef received high praise for taste and quality. Vegetarian and flexitarian options were well-received, with tofu substitutions available. The restaurant's customer service also stood out, with a story of a forgotten meal being delivered with a complimentary bottle of wine showcasing their dedication to guest satisfaction. Overall, Oishii is a fresh and buzzing gem in Pokolbin, with a diverse menu and top-notch flavors making it a must-visit for those craving an alternative to traditional Western cuisine in the region.
