"Couldn’t have found a more lovely place for a family meal-wish we’d found The Ivy house earlier…We were greeted like family members,you can feel yourself relaxing instantly,the whole vibe of the place is chilled,intimate and so welcoming. The menu isn’t large,which,personally is a great thing, food was fresh,beautifully presented,delicately flavoured to bring out the best of what you were eating. There’s a fantastic chilled lounge next door,all Indian rugs,lanterns,cushions and lights..half open to the elements…unfortunately it was a bit too chilly to sit there when we went,but can imagine that it’s wonderful on a warm Summers evening….It’s definitely n o t designer,thank goodness,but if you like something a bit different,with amazing food,then go! There’s plenty of parking,just an all round brilliant place..Thank you so much for such a happy evening."

"We had a fabulous meal here yesterday evening for my husband's birthday, with our two children. The food was great, found it difficult to choose what to eat, as such a lovely menu- the scallops were amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and particularly accommodating as my son has a severe nut allergy. Will definitely book again when we are next down in Cornwall."

"A beautiful environment with magnificent views of the coast. Sit inside and outside and gluten-free veggie options, which is a pleasant surprise. It was a stir between a gf toasties or a frit. The Friatta ran it with a selection of garlic mushroom or bride and spinach. Nicely presented and very tasty. The service was very fast and friendly staff."

"Above the harbour of newquay, this is a small jewel. cornish cream tee for 2 was excellent value with two huge homemade warm scenes, a pot jam and generous pot of dipped cream and garnished with fresh strawberry slices. with a large porcelain teapot of tea....£7.50 .a quality bargain."

"We stopped here for lunch on the way back from the bodmin wenford steam train; it felt a bit like a magic mysteries tour, but the sat nav led us to a beautiful pub in a stunning location. excellent food service. I had the whispers, my man had the fish goujons, my father the (enormous! pork chop, my daughter sink, egg chips and my son the steak chips. everyone was thrilled what I think could be a first! highly recommended."

"Well, it's not a 5-star hotel, so if you want to have a service like 5-star, go to 5-star..for me everything was more than very good. Rooms are clear, bathroom clear, towels fresh.However, my allergic fiancé gets an allergy, but I might have happened because it's a dog friendly place-we don't know. For additional star deserved their restaurant! Burgers were amazing! Rooms: 4"
