"Coldish saturday afternoon in December. Every pub and bar in town was packed to overflowing, but this small pub, (micro pub really) sandwiched between two other pubs was quieter with spare seating. Started with a local brew, sat outside and conversed congenially with a local. Went inside for second drink. Fancied something different and asked if a wheat beer was available. The lady said no. A gent at the bar said they had Leffe if I wanted Belgian and pointed to a bottle on the shelf. Next to it I noticed a bottle of Blue Moon . I suggested this was in a wheat beer, but she was adamant it was not it was a white beer. I insisted and she inspected it and then agreed it was indeed wheat. She did apologise, but I was disappointed I had to tell her about her job. The beer was enjoyable. Did not eat, but looking at the blackboard I would say it was more light snacks than proper meals but prices looked ok."

"Fantastic breakfast the breakfast was one of the most beautiful we cost, it was pissing hot and very cheap £5 that included tea, coffee or juice! the ambiente was very good and the staff was excellent, we will definitely visit scufflers again."

"Quick Review. This place was amazing. Reminded me of the fresh fish bars in Barcelona. The service was incredible, attentive and with purpose of the guest having a good time. This was a whistlestop visit. Drink options were great and I went for the house gin which was really tasty and garnished well. The oysters were great. Simple garnish of lemon and hot sauce. Was a tad surprised at the lack of mignonette but that’s no issue. The oysters were fresh and tasted great. The haddock croquettes were incredible. Well cooked and tasted fantastic. I love a venue where you can see the food being cooked! Nothing like seeing a blowtorch being used on a mackerel! I cannot wait for the next time I head back and try more off the menu. Bravo!"

"The best afternoon tea. Let me make that clear. Everything was just so gorgeous. The lemon cake has to be tasted to be believed. Everything I 've had on the menu is so tasty. The very good bacon sandwich needs to be upgraded to most excellent . Service is friendly. They even have a card machine now! What more do you want?"

"I stopped by on my way to Rotherham for football and ordered the large English Breakfast for £10. Really friendly, chatty owners, lovely retro feel, and fabulous food. The breakfast included bacon, two sausages, two eggs, a hash brown, beans, mushrooms and tinned tomatoes. All served with two slices of toast and a pot of tea which easily made two mugs. Highly recommended and if I am in the area, I will definitely return."
