after a cold and windy ride on the nc500 for a hot drink and stop. an excellent lens soup, well seasoned/salted, with homemade fresh sourdough bread. because it is tourism outside the season, I was thrilled by the love to detail here. the inner of the caffeine was very pleasant and cozy. coffee was a good special roaster in inverness. would recommend it! "We were very fortunate to be able to sit outside when having lunch at The Shieling as it was a beautiful day. The view over the loch to Skye is magnificent. The menu is extensive with casual items such as filled jacket potatoes and sandwiches and also has a good range of more substantial main courses. My jacket potato was good and service friendly and welcoming. Just wish this restaurant was open for dinner."

"Beautiful location with beautiful view. helpful friendly staff in front of the house. I was not a resident, but for an evening meal on recommended well to large portions, reasonable worth also, we have very nice appetizers, scallops and smoked laugh and would unfortunately recommend the netzen were very bad, ie three stars. was not made and was very chewy, the maic had hard hits. the fish and chips, the cadjau was beautiful, but the battery was disappointing soggy and the chips were clearly frozen, which is understandable in view of the remote position (we come from the outer healers so appreciate the difficultities of supply), but they were also very wounded. the fruitful pure was fabulous. we should have raised this after the first mouthful, but stubborn, and do not want to cause dirt. more the fool us. we will know the next time briefly, the experience was disappointing for eating, but there was a very good choice, so maybe they avoid disappointment."
