"This place was awesome! Friendly, fast service. Food was great! We had fish and chips. The fish batter was so crispy, fries were like home fries. They gave us a lot of food! If ever in the area, try them out! I’d love to come back!"

"Okay, nothing special. This is the only Japanese restaurant in town, and the only place aside from Quality Foods to get sushi. The restaurant is in a lodge next to a cemetary The food really isn't that good. But when you don't have much for competition, what do you expect The last time I went, the waitress brought us an octopus salad on the house. I would have been thankful it it wasn't for the very obvious fishy smell of the dish. Was it fresh? Probably not. We didn't eat it. Our actual order was decent, but nothing to rave about."

"Five of us went for dinner, four of us ordered fish and chips, to tell you the truth I was not impressed. The fish coating was dark and I think the oil needed changing because it should have been golden not brown, One person ordered the steak dinner and she said it was very good. I had heard good and bad about the clam bucket. I live here in beautiful Port Alberni and am working through the different places to eat in town. We sat outside on the patio and it is a very nice place to sit and enjoy your meal. Will give the Clam Bucket one more chance to see if the fish batter is different."

"Our first time in a DQ!! Had to ask for the key to the washroom! Ordered, hot drinks….yucky, over sweet! Waited 30 mins then asked about our meal……’there was a problem, we gave your order to someone else and are having to remake it’!!! No apology, no explanation just left to wait ? Food was mediocre at best, chips barely warm……cost $36+can. Never again in any DQ You only get one chance to make a 1st impression ?????"

"One guy working in the bar area taking drink/food orders, and doing a great and fast job at it. Staff is very friendly. Our appy’s came in under 10 minutes after we ordered. Maybe we just came at the perfect time but only coming here 1 time while passing through this was a really good experience."
