"Does not look much from the outside, however it's very busy when you get through the door.Sausage rolls are great, pies not so good, salad bar is good and cakes selection is also very good.Can do phone orders and open at 6.30 am. Egg and bacon roll cooked fresh is great. Coffee takes a bit of time however it tastes good."

"Spending a night stayover on our way home, first time in Port Augusta, looked up reviews of where to eat Western Hotel wins hands down. Turned up on a Wednesday night the place was packed. Maria welcomed us said how busy they were even though we didn't have a booking she managed to squeeze us in. Service food was exceptional for a hotel. Will most definitely be eating here again as we travel through."

"Last minute trip to Port Augusta and no room booked. Drove into town to find No Vacancy at every place on the main highway. By sheer luck I saw a sign showing accommodation add took a punt on it being ok. A quaint clean...tidy old fashioned Pub. Great Bar meals. Friendly staff. My room (the last they had) was perfect for the night. Clean well appointed and comfortable. Good bed and shower ... what more do you need. And at $100 for the night it won 't break the bank. If I am in the area again ... I will definitely stay here again."

"Came here on the off chance and were a bit apprehensive because the restaurant was empty with not many tables. We needn't have worried because the aromas were as warm as the staff. Obviously do a good takeaway trade and the dining room soon amassed patrons. Good value for two considering the delicious meal we had: balanced spicing which meant you could really savour the dishes. Mango lahsi were superb and we could take one to go afterwards. We wanted to come back two days later but it was a longer trip back from Coober Peddy than we anticipated otherwise we'd have dined in again. Great find!"
