What User doesn't like about St James Well Pub:
I called the restaurant tonight and confirm that they have limited gluten-free options during the Kovid. Hopefully, when Kovid is over, they will be able to make their gluten-free onion rings in the dedicated gluten-free frit. But only when Kovid is over. View all feedback.
It is great to come to a restaurant where a celiac actually has a choice on the menu! Was always good when I come here!
Love this place! Love I can get good poutins here! Note those who order GF elements... the menu lists them as GF, but some of them need to specify GF and that is not quite clear. My sister and I (both celiacs) ordered something with GF. I said the GF chicken potcake and she didn't say GF bc it had a GF from him. Hers came with pastries on the top and my potatoes, so we knew something was up! Thank God one of us was different or we would have eaten the pastry and really been sick.

No more onion rings, but what we did order was good. Had the poutine (a nice treat) as well as the cottage pie. Lots of options and clearly marked on the menu. A nice pub.
I have tried the gf pickles, poutine, wings and ordered the chicken pot pie .. It was nice to be able to order deep fried pickles (tempura batter) and the poutine was pretty good. The wings were not super crispy and the chicken pot pie came with mash instead of pastry. Maybe its too much to expect gluten free pastry but I I wish I need this before the dish arrived. Overall not bad to try if your in the area.
