"I threw a surprise Birthday for my partner here. I had a group booking for 30 with a set menu of assorted platters. "The staff were very lovely and coffees were delicious. But it’s hard to believe the garlic pepper chicken pie has won an award I had it yesterday but was very overpowering and strange flavour. Next I’d like to try the chicken and veg pie so will be back for this. Edit I have returned and tried the chicken roti and it is incredible. Highly recommend!"

"I love to sit back with good company, wine and food. At Merne we had excellent service, share plates that were different and very tasty and a view. The menu has variety, and each dish had amazing sauces. We had a long lunch; plenty of time to chat and enjoy. No rushing here!!!!"
