"Visited Wednesday 17th May (closed Monday/Tuesday) to find that it was only open for take-away meals. The restaurant is due to open in July. However, we were invited inside to have a look. Much to our surprise, we were told that we could dine in the restaurant as we had travelled a long way, but I think it had something to do with my charming partner also being from Hong Kong. We had a very enjoyable meal served personally by the proprietors wife and enjoyed talking with her. The food is first class and I have no hesitation in saying that if you like Chinese food and are in Stranraer, then the Hong Kong City Restaurant is a must."

"Staying outside Stranraer so would only offer delivery via taxi, we decided to drive to collect instead. Still nice hot after arriving back with the food, pizza's lovely, chicken mixed kebab very watery had to drain out of tub apart from that flavours were nice."

"Lovely surroundings and a wonderful greeting when you arrived ,Neave was welcoming and excellent at her job ,breakfasts was lovely nice ladies serving you and a lovely lady cooking it all very clean and served well ,The room Blue room Don't look behind the radiators or the cabinets or bed don't think it's been cleaned for months, bed so uncomfortable it made my body ache,cobwebs everywhere tap in bathroom didn't work such a shame,staff are so good at what they do place just needs refurbishment thanks again neave for making our stay your a star"

"Visit them sandhead since I was a nipper and stay here in the tigh na mara maybe 4 times in the year to relax. love this place, heaven on earth. eating is nice, the rooms are cozy and the staff is very welcoming. the pub is the best, log fire and good atmosphere. beach on your doorstep"
