A group of friends went here for Sunday lunch. We did have a few problems communicating with the restaurant prior to the event and it seems that this is something they are aware of and addressing. The food was, in general, very good and the roast meats were particularly well cooked and delicious. The location is lovely and the service was friendly and attentive. View all feedback.
What Cliss6 doesn't like about Boathouse #4:
Not a good experience. The waiter was taking us to a table but then left us to prepare a bill. He then took us to a table and then said it was reserved. We had to wait some while before he took the order. He didn't tell us what the starter and main of the day was. When the food arrived he'd forgotten we asked for bread. It was very polite in the inner and all the staff were polite, friendly and very friendly to me. many seats and things go on. it was pretty busy when I arrived and everyone seemed happy. I was not impressed by the pricing, and the limited selection of hot foods. I was shocked at the price of the rolls. I remember the memory so that I might miscite here, but I'm sure it wasn't far from five whole pounds of queen heads! scandal prize. I finally decided for a few crawls and a tee, and only saw my companions eat their overpriced diners. neither complained about eating, so it is fair to say that the quality was not unsatisfactory for both of them. at least this is my personal opinion as a food critic and more value. you can't spend the money, and that's fair enough that I respect it. all in all a solid 4/5 and recommended for a snack between the wonders on this very large website.
Very informative visit made all this more pleasant by talking to ex royal dockyard staff who explain the background, the use, the working life and the traditions of the various exponates of people to tools etc. a small jewel of an exhibition in the boathouse 7 next to a souvenir shop and restaurant. a real artefact I knew well to be a young soldier in my younger days and enjoying fun, character construction times drag the red fire truck around an army camp....Neverlasting piece nostalgie. destined a visit worth and a chat with the personal
I love love love this place. Full of history and really interesting. Staff are superb and those in security to the Historic Dockyard. Just had tea but food looked apetizing.
Boathouse 7 has a bit of everything, you have a cafe/restaurant, the main gift shop and there's even another museum with lots of interesting things to see, we didn't know it was there but we were glad we found it, worth a visit.
Excellent exhibition good selection of diners in caffe.
