This was a great way to spend an afternoon with our two older daughters who had come home for Christmas. We book a beer master class with food after. Our host was Robin, who taught us all about the brewing process, the origins of beer, ale, bitter and the different ingredients. On entering Portsmouth we looked hard for a traditional pub with a cozy atmosphere. We came across this pub and all looked good until we got served. We are all happy northerners and as so we're keen to start conversation. Unfortunately, the lady behind the bar had already decided that conversation with customers was not in her job description... surely it cant be too hard to walcome customers. read more.
