"We stayed in the holiday cottage behind Ye Olde Steppes last week. It was a joy to pop in (most days! and pick up locally sourced produce. We were always met with a smile and a really warm welcome. A shop that is well and truly the heart of the village. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. I can't comment on the tea room as it wasn't open, but had it been we would definitley have taken advantage. Thank you!"

"Wow! What a great evening. Came where on a whim. Three great courses garlic mushrooms, battered Brie, two burgers, lemon roulade, chocolate fudge cake both with ice cream. Lovely wine. Excellent service, Execellent value, everything was super tasty! Our new favourite in Herefordshire!"

"What a jewel of a place, really good inexpensive and some live music, absolutely fantastic, but the reason why it gets top brands is because of the coworkers and owners. when most pubs say they are full, this every piece of furniture pulls out to try to keep everyone happy, also dog friendly. never known customer service so. keep them the good work and remember to give their employees a lot of praise."

"Arrived as a party of four adults with two small dogs. Sunday lunch booked for 3pm. Received a lovely welcome from the friendly and helpful staff. The food excellent. Everyone's meal was spot-on. Presentation and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Staff were very patient with the hyperactive dogs. Thank you and well done the Bateman Arms."
