What Eduardo Vásquez doesn't like about Thai Rock:
Went for Saturday night family dinner. As a beer lover order 6 bottles of Thai beer and 2 bottles of local Australian beer. As the night passed I decided to read the bottle label, all of the ordered beers were expired both imported and local brands. When complained to restaurant manager we were blamed for drinking expired the beer. No courtesy of even saying sorry.Makes me wonder what other products are being sold at... View all feedback.
Disappointed this time round. Firstly, the big sign at the entrance advertises lunch specials however when ordering the lunch special we were told this was no longer offered. Big lunch special sign should be removed. Secondly, plain fried rice was and was it...plain!, veggies and chicken had to be ordered as add ons at an additional cost. servings were small too, compared to previous visits.
Visited here for dinner with friends before a movie. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Quick service (we mentioned we were catching a movie at and very efficient. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Gluten free options available and you can takeaway your leftovers. Indoor...or outdoor (undercover) seating. Great for larger groups.
I was in town with colleagues for a few days and stopped in on our last night. We were not disappointed. Greeted by the owner, we sat towards the back in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We ordered drinks and food and everything came out...in a timely fashion. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The food was probably the best Thai I had ever had. Prices were very reasonable. At the end of dinner, the owner David spoke with us again and we found him to be extremely pleasant and engaging. He even bought us all a round of drinks. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a dining experience quite as much and feeling like the owner was happy and appreciative of our business.
Dropped in for a quick meal and found there was a good varied of dishes including Thai and Western. We really enjoyed the Pad Thai, Pad Seew and curry dishes although assume you get rice included which was not clarified. The meals arrived quickly. Fruit...drinks were a healthy option. The desert I had (sticky date pudding) was not warm and lacked flavour like it had been defrosted. The fried ice-cream was not impressive. Therefore, I will be back for meals only!!
Just ordered of my favorite dish at Thai Rock and I cannot fault it at all . Our host Stephanie was so helpful taking the orders and the food was on the table in around minutes that's even with the restaurant was nearly...full with customers . I will recommend for anyone in the area to try the NOTHERN THAI ISAN Thai food. YUMMO
