"This restaurant was recommended to us by the owners (father and son) of Le Verger de Foncoussieres. It's a small place very discreet. Inside though, is lively and cozy. We ordered a vegetarian plate. But had to have my coffee first before anything else. So Susie, the young lady serving us, brought it. What an incredible surprise, coffee is Fantastically creamy and soft to the palate. If you are a coffee lover this is a place you should never miss to make a stop. Like what my mexican coffee lover friend once said, a coffee should never be bitter on the palate, it has to have a soft yet full bodied taste. I FOUND IT, FINALLY! The food is simple and filling. I believe they are also into organic/natural product, main reason we wanted to try the vege plate. A pleasing discovery that in this town we found a restaurant serving as well to vegetarian or at least to those who wants an alternative other than meat. My partner also tried the carrot cake which was ok. The people in this restaurant are friendly, especially Susie, who gave us tips in our search. I highly recommend it."

City: Cahuzac-sur-Vère (near Puycelsi), Lieu Dit Salettes, 81140, Cahuzac-sur-Vère, France
"We had chosen this restaurant because it has some very good reviews and a great setting, moreover, we wanted to have a gastronomic experience in this region that we did not know. The setting is quite nice, a beautiful terrace near the vineyards. We were also well received and the service was both friendly and professional with a waiter and waitress who speak perfect english. The real problem with this restaurant is the food. Because we are not big eaters (and because starters seemed more interesting), we chose two starters each but unfortunately we liked none of those: the presentation is great with neat plates but the cuisine is far from worthy of a gastronomic restaurant. The amuse-bouches were bland, the bread dry, the parmesan tiles tasted like plastic and the millefeuille was dull with a black garlic condiment that didn't go well with it. The carpaccio itself (a very pleasant smokey taste) was good but didn't go well with the condiments that came with it. Sometimes, it's better to keep things simple. It is rare that I am so unpleasantly surprised by a gourmet restaurant. There, objectively, there were things that were not mastered, it's not just a matter of taste. I do not understand because the restaurant was really far from being full …. For the dessert, the cheese platter and the selection was very good."
