While some diners found the prices to be on the higher side, many appreciated the friendly service and authentic BBQ flavors. With a small but cozy atmosphere, reservations are recommended due to popularity. The restaurant has received mixed reviews from those familiar with BBQ in the US, with some finding it comparable while others found it lacking in flavor and portion size. For a casual BBQ experience, this spot is worth a visit.
Simply ...if in old quebec area, find this place and visit...several times! I came across this bbq restaurant on trip advisor and the reviews simply don't do it justice, whatever anyone says is not enough! When you fist see this place, you think may e its a mistake, but the inside hides a treat. The staff, although obviously run of their feet, managed to find us a corner at the bar. Our server, Penelope, was extremely friendly , helpful and chatty, nothing was too much trouble. The food was out if this world, the best brisket I have eaten ever. We even got to chat with the owner, who was obviously very proud of his restaurant, food and staff.
Cold during winter when you 're next to any wall inside and its worst when the door keeps opening. The food is overrated for the high price. Also, if you don 't tip them correctly the people serving you will cry about it in front of everyone in the building. Just awful
We lived in Texas for 5 years and were happy to finally try some BBQ. Booked 3 months in advance for our anniversary, confirmed our reservation using the app the day before, got there and we no longer had a reservation. Offered us to come back in 2 hours… like we were gonna wait in the worst parking. No way. Will go back to Texas before going back to this place.
Building is a wooden structure but go inside. Strong smell of bbq, French menu but waitress explains. Very popular with locals, they turned many away while we were there. It's a one off place, not franchised. Met the owner who came to the table, very friendly and proud. Cost us $120 for 2. A different local experience you wouldn't get anywhere else. Recommend Oreilles de Crise a l'annes. Fried pork fat marinated in red beer and maple syrup. Crispy and never seen before.
This place is incredible. Fantastic BBQ experience. Strongly recommend it. Need to make reservation. Food is prepared based on how many people they have the night of.
