Just a block away from the Best Western, on Dorchester ave, is le Postino. We stopped in by chance, and were glad we did. The food was well prepared, very tasty, and in ample but not overwhelming portions. Service was very good, no problem with our English. (Note: ask for English menus if they are not first offered). Price was very reasonable for this level of dinner.Definitely would go back. View all feedback.
Awesome diner with great people! A1 service with Eloïse. Super food. Perfect for sharing. We'll be back...
We ate at 2 restaurants in the St-Roch area, and this one was so good we ate there twice. 20 seconds walk from the front door of our B B, it was more homely than other eateries in the area, but looks can be deceiving. The warm welcome from the wait staff, good service, and the imaginative cuisine were worth a second visit. The generous servings were also much appreciated at the end of a long day sightseeing, and the prices less tourist-oriented. The table-d'hote deal meant a hungry traveller could eat their way through 4 courses plus a hot drink for slightly more than $30 taxes etc). The duck cooked with maple syrup balsamic was our pick of the mains, with the pork loin a close second. Delicious!

Exhausted after a long day of walking that capped off a great week of vacation, we were looking for a restaurant near our hotel.
It's not high gastronomy, but it's good, simple, full and tasteful. all that a meal must be!
