"The meal we had was first rate. The fish was so fresh and cooked incredibly well. It has to rate amonst one of the best fish and chip restaurants around. It is family run and they clearly take a pride in serving up the very best. The batter is a family recipe, handed down through the generations. The price was very competative even although the quality was the tops. We are running out of words to describe how good this meal was. We will definitely go back."

"What a great way to end our first day in york. as we had already eaten a full meal during the day, we were just looking for some light to eat and a refreshing glass or two rose’ it is not the cheapest, but definitely worth the visit and we will be back soon. an excellent table outside on the deck with views of the river, served by amazing friendly staff, thank you."

"This restaurant has closed last month, I found out only by opening for my booking. The restaurant has not informed me before and I still received memories from Open Table, they even have sandwich boards that advertise the restaurant at the end of the street! A waste of time and taxi."

"I wore up without reservation and they kindly equipped me with a timeline that was great. I started with the sweet choir and chicken soup that was good, but nothing exciting. I had a last minute change of heart after I saw the char sui on the menu and added the fried mushroom rice. the tear should have cloged in him and for a five it should have, not. it was also a little oily. my head came with steamed brokkoli, which was unfortunately cold. the char sui had too much five seasoned for me and it overwhelmed every other taste. it wasn't like char sui.
