excellent and satisfying spicy curry with friendly if to times easy chaotic service. the veggie vindaloo and dhansak were extremely tasty and the only problem for the carnivores was slightly chewy lamb and the huh was sukkulent. tasty onion Bhaji/samosa starter, decent portions. we had to make a little effort to conquer a bill at the bitter end, but that was only a little encouragement on the bar. Worst indian restaurant i ever have been to..I had a terrible experience at River Spice Reading . The food was not tasty at all, it was just too spicy with no flavour to it. They simply put chilli powder into every curry after preparation and I wasn't even sure if the chicken was fully cooked or not. I felt sick after eating there. Food was pretty tasty. Owner is helpful, but some of the wait staff have a limited understanding of some of the menu items. Overall good. Would eat here again.

"The staff were friendly and helpful with advising what the meals contained and helping me pick when i was undecided. The restaurant itself had a very authentic Italian feel and this was also given off by the staff who worked there. The food was great quality and the sizes were also really good would highly recommend over bigger named Italian restaurant chains!"

"From beginning to end. we received the highest degree of service and eat in a fabulous safe environment. a return for my parents, but my first time .. and it surpassed my expectations by far! the personal was informatiw and so friendly. from the surrounding greetings was clear that many of the customers return customers and nino and his personal would take the time to deal with them. a good sign of extraordinary foods was the fact that I enjoyed myself immensely and still food envy the 3 other meals we had at our table. they will not be disappointed, but may be pampered by the incredible taste and quality. in addition is nino jr. went out of his way to maintain the charismatic Italian atmosphere while offering a safe environment during the pandemic. take the time to choose screens that do not distract from the device, but a safe place to eat. we will come back next time in pangbourne! thanks for a nice night!"
